From scholar to teacher
Angela grew up helping her parents on the farm. Today she is a licensed teacher, giving back to the same community that raised her.
Angela grew up in a farming family where finishing college felt out of reach. Some school years, she wasn't sure there would be enough money even for her uniform.
When she became a ministry scholar in senior high school, her tuition and school needs were covered, and she gained mentors who prayed for her and checked on her grades every month.
Today, Angela is a licensed teacher. "The scholarship didn't just pay for my tuition," she says. "It gave me people who believed in me when I was ready to give up."
